In posts shared on Saturday, February 14, the 39-year-old didn’t mince words about her 42-year-old brother’s qualifications—or lack thereof.
Spencer has done great work for the palisades. But LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor. A vote for him is a vote for stupidity.
Stephanie acknowledged Spencer’s advocacy work following the Pacific Palisades fire that destroyed his home. She even suggested he’d be perfect for leading that specific neighborhood.
But governing an entire city? That’s where she drew the line.
The Motivation Behind His Campaign
According to Stephanie, Spencer’s mayoral ambitions aren’t rooted in public service.
He’s just trying to stay famous and sell his memoir.
She was referencing The Guy You Loved to Hate: Confessions from a Reality TV Villain, published in January. The timing of his political announcement and book release certainly raises eyebrows.
Stephanie made it clear she supports Spencer managing Pacific Palisades specifically, writing that “in an ideal world the palisades would have their own mayor and police department.”
Serious Allegations Surface
When backlash rolled in suggesting she should support family no matter what, Stephanie revealed why unconditional support wasn’t on the table.
She alleged that Spencer assaulted her when she was 18 years old, an incident she claims resulted in hospitalization.

The allegations didn’t stop there. Stephanie claimed Spencer introduced her to drugs during her teenage years.

In a particularly damning post, Stephanie alleged her brother got her “hooked” on substances when she was just 15.

Stephanie also claimed Spencer was once involved in cult activity, allegedly resulting in an arrest in Costa Rica.
At least hire someone with work experience who wasn’t in a cult.
According to TMZ reports from September 2010, Spencer was indeed arrested in Costa Rica for felony possession of a firearm. Whether he faced charges or appeared in court following that arrest remains unclear.
Standing With Lauren Conrad
Stephanie also referenced her brother’s infamous feud with The Hills costar Lauren Conrad, making her allegiance crystal clear.

She referenced both Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag in that criticism, suggesting their treatment of Conrad was calculated for publicity.
