Liv Morgan punched her ticket to WrestleMania in dramatic fashion, outlasting 29 other competitors to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The victory marks a career-defining moment for Morgan, who weathered a chaotic finale that saw her eliminate both returning star Tiffany Stratton and high-flying Sol Ruca in the closing moments.
But the path to victory wasn’t without controversy—Morgan turned on her own Judgment Day stablemate Raquel Rodriguez to secure her spot in the final three.
Here’s everything that went down in one of WWE’s most unpredictable women’s matches of the year.
A Fast-Paced Start With Little Breathing Room
From the opening bell, this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble felt rushed. Eliminations came fast and furious, often lacking the dramatic weight fans expect from WWE’s signature match.
Charlotte Flair kicked things off at number one, with Alexa Bliss entering at number two. But neither legend made it deep into the match—both fell victim to each other in quick succession, with Flair eliminating Bliss before ultimately being tossed by the surging Lash Legend.
Jordynne Grace made an immediate impact early, racking up three consecutive eliminations by taking out Lola Vice, Candice LeRae, and Ivy Nile. Her momentum was short-lived, though, as Legend eventually ended her run.
Lash Legend’s Dominance Steals The Show
If anyone emerged as the breakout star of this Rumble, it was Lash Legend.
Entering at number 15, Legend systematically dismantled the competition, eliminating five superstars including both Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair, and Iyo Sky. Her power and presence dominated the middle portion of the match, creating genuine tension about whether she might actually win the whole thing.
That dream ended when Rhea Ripley—herself a powerhouse—tossed Legend late in the match. Still, Legend’s performance announced her arrival as a legitimate force in WWE’s women’s division.
Surprise Returns Shake Up The Final Stretch
WWE saved its biggest surprises for last, with Brie Bella entering at number 29 and Tiffany Stratton rounding out the field at number 30.
Brie’s return brought a nostalgic pop from the Saudi crowd, and she immediately made an impact by eliminating Lyra Valkyria. Her sister Nikki had entered earlier at number 25, taking out Bayley before both Bellas fell to Lash Legend’s rampage.
Stratton’s return carried even more significance. Fresh off what appeared to be an injury absence, she stormed into the match with her trademark confidence and quickly positioned herself as a favorite to win.
Betrayal Sets Up A Three-Way Showdown
After Rhea Ripley eliminated Lash Legend, Raquel Rodriguez capitalized by tossing Ripley over the top rope. The ring seemed set for a potential Judgment Day celebration—until Liv Morgan had other plans.
In a shocking moment of betrayal, Morgan turned on Rodriguez and eliminated her own stablemate, setting up a final three of Morgan, Sol Ruca, and Tiffany Stratton.
The finale played out entirely on the apron, with all three women balancing precariously between victory and defeat.
High Risk, High Reward—And One Costly Mistake
Sol Ruca, known for her innovative offense and high-flying style, attempted a spectacular move from the apron that could have sealed her WrestleMania moment.
Instead, Stratton read the play perfectly and blocked it. But before Stratton could capitalize, Liv Morgan struck, eliminating Stratton and winning the match in one fluid motion.
Ruca’s gamble backfired. Morgan’s opportunism paid off. And just like that, Liv Morgan became the last woman standing.
What This Means For WrestleMania
Morgan now holds a golden ticket to challenge for either the WWE Women’s Championship or the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania. Her victory sets up massive possibilities heading into wrestling’s biggest event.
Will she choose to challenge a current champion? Will Judgment Day politics factor into her decision? And how will Raquel Rodriguez respond to being betrayed by her own stablemate?
Those questions will fuel storylines for weeks to come. But tonight, none of that matters. Tonight belongs to Liv Morgan, who proved once again that in WWE, opportunity favors the bold—and sometimes the ruthless.
