Jane’s Addiction posted a joint statement on Instagram acknowledging their mistakes in handling the aftermath of the Boston show. The band admitted to making decisions without Farrell’s input and expressed regret for their public comments about his mental state.
After that show, without notice to Perry, we unilaterally determined it would be best to not continue the tour and made inaccurate statements about Perry’s mental health which we regret.
The statement emphasized that despite their differences, the four musicians came together one final time to resolve their conflict and preserve the band’s legacy.

Perry Farrell’s Personal Apology
Farrell issued his own heartfelt apology on Instagram, taking responsibility for losing his temper onstage. He acknowledged that his actions fell short of what fans deserved and what he had always strived to deliver.
I’d like to address what happened on stage last year. I’ve reflected on it and know I didn’t handle myself the way I should have. I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the show.

What Happened in Boston
